About Us

Trigeminal Neuralgia  | Migraine Headache and Head Pain Specialist :

Our province is the human brain and the twofold nervous system. Simply because it is this sensory motor control apparatus which governs, controls, harmonizes, & organizes the systems of the human body. Why every cell, tissue, muscle organ is under it's power and influence.

The central idea of our philosophy is the principle that the human body is a self-restoring / self-rejuvenating organism; summarized by Hippocrates  (The pioneering Greek physician, known as “The Father of Western Medicine”,) in the sentence "the body containes the ability to heal itself". I hold this truth to be self-evident; not to mention the fact that the combined intelligence of the entire human race (when compared to the human body) is as nothing. Making the best doctor; the doctor residing in you.

Nevertheless, there exists now a great disparity between the thinking of Hippocrates and present scientific medicine. I (like Hippocrates) however, reject the epistemological principles of "allopathic medicine" aka "conventional medicine"; and for good reason.

Allopathic medicine; or allopathy, is a system of health in which medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals are licensed to practice and treat symptoms and diseases. To “treat” a condition or disease (from the medical perspective) is to merely manage it by medicinal, surgical, or other measures.

The word “allopathic” comes from the Greek “allos” — meaning “opposite” — and “pathos” — meaning “to suffer.” This word was coined by German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the 1800s. It roughly refers to treating a symptom with its opposite. I however, attribute the current state of healthcare to this philosophy.

(A commentary by Dr. Barbara Starfield of Johns Hopkins states in the Journal of the American Medical Association (Vol 284) that the health of the US population is not as good as in many other countries, and deaths within the healthcare system itself may account for the third leading cause of death in the US, only behind heart disease and cancer. The article states that 250,000 deaths per year are due to iatrogenic causes-unfavorable responses to medical or surgical treatments. Some examples of these causes include unnecessary medication and surgery, infections in hospitals, and negative effects of drugs.)

Notwithstanding, our position is that healthcare should be designed so as to work in conjunction with the human body. Opposed to merely treating symptoms; my objective is to address the source or rather the root cause. The goal is to facilitate the process of homeostasis in the human body.Homeostasis is the tendency of an organism to maintain internal stability; requiring the coordinated response of its parts to any situation or stimulus tending to disturb its normal condition or function, thereby adjusting to conditions that are best for its survival. If homeostasis is successful, life continues; if it's unsuccessful, it results in disaster or even death of the organism.

I remember my mothers fight against her illness  like I remember her prayers. It has always followed me. It has clung to me all my life. I only wish I knew then what I know now.
